The Young Open is an annual competition involving schools in the South West of England, for creatives between the ages of 8 - 19 at the Black Swan Gallery in Frome. The first day of the Young Open Exhibition is at 12.00pm midday on Saturday 21 March. The show runs until 25 April. Certificates for the winners will be awarded at a 'Prize giving & preview' prior to the opening by invitation.

There will be four overall winners from each of the three age categories, who will each receive either a group workshop with a professional artist, or a prize kindly donated by local businesses, i.e. art materials or stationery.

This is a fantastic opportunity for students, as not only will they be able to display their artwork, but it will also provide them with experience in curating their own exhibition. We are immensely proud of all of the students for entering and taking part in this process.

Good luck to those who have had their beautiful work selected for the final!
