As the Radio Club grows from strength to strength, recent shows have included some great guests joining the clubs Breakfast Show.  Sue Crisfield from the Frome drop-in centre Routes, at 1a Palmer Street in Frome came along to talk to students about all the different things that Routes can offer the young people of Frome.

The drop-in centre for young people from 11-25 years old, offers support to young carers and families, and welcome anyone to come along to explore ideas or find out about the help on offer. On Saturday 17 March, their special guest was Jayne Archer from Kooth. Kooth is free, safe, anonymous online support for young people. The service offers: Online counsellors 365 days a year up to 10.00pm, through either drop-in sessions or scheduled text based sessions.  They also have self-help materials, co-produced by other young people, and fully moderated peer-to-peer support forums. It is available to all young people in Somerset aged 11-18.

Students have received great praise from listeners for their maturity, confidence and professionalism in hosting the shows. The Breakfast Show is on Fromefm every Saturday from 9.00am -12noon, and the Radio Club host a 4weekly slot.

Mathematics teacher, Russell Cole, and the student led Radio Club will be hosting the Fromefm Breakfast Show on Saturday 14 April from 9.00am-12noon. Their special guest will be Sue Willis, organiser of Frome's annual Sports Festival which will be held on Sunday 29 April, starting with free sports tasters for all in Victoria Park and Mary Bailey playing fields from 10.00am- 2.00pm.  Listen in on 96.6fm or online Frome.fm.
